Unibank raises the interest rate of Holiday-10 deposit
ArmInfo. Unibank has raised the interest rate of Holiday-10 time deposit in USD to 9% p.a., having hereby increased the yield of the deposit specially worked out by the 10th anniversary of Unibank. The annual interest rate of the deposit in AMD remains unchanged (12.5%).
The press service of Unibank told ArmInfo that the deposit Holiday-10 for individuals is currently one of the most popular deposits of the bank. The minimal amount of the deposit is 400,000 AMD or 1,000 USD. The deposit period may range from 181 to 365 days. All the depositors are provided with ArCa and Visa bankcards free of charge, and with an opportunity of overdraft worth 90% of the deposit amount.
The Holiday-10 deposit is accepted till 31 Dec 2011. "The peculiarity of the deposit is its high yield. This is why the bank has rapidly responded to the changing conditions of the market and decided to raise the interest rate of the deposit", Financial Director of Unibank Diana Jeyranyan said.
She said that the wide range of Unibank's deposits takes into account the needs of the customers and allows the depositors to choose the most convenient terms to deposit the funds. Thanks to this approach, Unibank remains the leader by its portfolio of time deposits of individuals in the banking system of Armenia.
As of 1 Oct 2011, the time deposits of individuals of Unibank amounted to 48 bln AMD, with the y-o-y growth being 20.6%. It is envisaged to increase the volume of the individuals' deposits by 10% by late 2011.
