AMD loans provided by Armenian banks weekly grew by 24.3%, and USD loans grew by 7.9%
ArmInfo. Last week (23-29 January) Armenian banks provided loans worth 25.6 bln AMD (24.3% weekly growth) and $38.4 mln (7.9% weekly growth), the press service of the Central Bank of Armenia told ArmInfo.
According to the source, over the current week (30 January-3 February) the banks bought $82.8 mln at the average exchange rate of 386.41 AMD/$1, and sold $101.2 mln at the average exchange rate of 387.37 AMD/$1 in the intrabank currency market (transactions with clients).
Over the same period the banks bought 7.2 mln EUR at the average exchange rate of 506.33 AMD/1 EUR and 494.8 mln RUR at the average exchange rate of 12.63 AMD/1 RUR, and sold 9.6 mln EUR at the average exchange rate of 510.6 AMD/1 EUR and 57.1 mln RUR at the average exchange rate 12.85 AMD/1 RUR.
Currency purchase and sale operations worth $1.15 mln were carried out at the average exchange rate of 387.06 AMD/$1 in the interbank currency market from 30 January till 3 February.
Over the given period currency purchase and sale operations worth $17.4 mln were carried out at the average exchange rate of 387.06 AMD/$1 at NASDAQ OMX Armenia; the biggest volume was registered on 30 January ($5.5 mln), 31 January ($5.840 mln), and 3 February ($4.420 mln).
No operations with EUR or RUR were registered in the stock exchange or in the interbank market.
