Insurance companies gather OSAGO premiums by 2.5 bln drams less premiums
ArmInfo. The insurance companies gathered OSAGO premiums 8.5 bln drams for the 1Q 2012 which is by 23% or 2.5 bln drams less than for the 1Q 2011.
According to the Ranking of insurance companies prepared by Arminfo, the insurance company "Rosgosstrakh Armenia" is the leader by the volume of the gathered OSAGO premiums for the 1Q 2012 - 2.6 bln drams (the third part of the total volume of OSAGO premiums). The second is "INGO Armenia" - 1.4 bln drams. The third is "RESO" - 1.2 bln drams. The least volume of premiums was gathered by "Cascade Insurance" - 518.8 mln drams.
For the 1Q 2012 8 insurance companies paid 2,3 bln drams for OSAGO, threefold more than for the 1Q 2011.
According to assessment of independent experts, the loss ratio of OSAGO by the end of 2012 will become 60%, which is not a critical level for the market, if we do not take into account extremely high operation band administrative expenses of insurance companies. Their share was 15% (1.9 bln drams) out of the total volume of premiums for the 1Q 2012 and is chiefly on OSAGO.
According to the Ranking, for the 1Q 2012 8 insurance companies gathered 442.5 mln drams on CASCO (land transport) which is by 38,6% more than in the 1Q 2011. The CASCO payments over the reported period amounted to 110.2 mln drams, by 17,8% more than in the 1Q 2011. The insurance company "Nairi Insurance" is the leader by the volume of gathered premiums - 91.4 mln drams. The least volume of premiums on CASCO was gathered by the insurance company "RASCO" - 8.8 mln drams.
