For two consecutive years Ameriabank granted Euromoney's award for excellence as the best bank of Armenia
ArmInfo. For two consecutive years already Ameriabank has been granted Euromoney's award for excellence as the best bank of Armenia.
The press service of the bank reports that the awarding ceremony took place in London July 5.
The Euromoney Awards for Excellence define banking excellence in global categories and across 110 individual countries. Over the years these awards have set the standards for banking and capital market excellence amongst the top ranking financial institutions around the world. Awards are based on outstanding performance, quality service, innovation and momentum.
The key reasons why Ameriabank has been proclaimed as the best bank in Armenia are its strengthening positions in the region, efficient administration and risk management systems, progressive approaches, efforts to introduce Terrasoft CRM and a whole package of new services, like golden structured deposit, saving deposit, customs card, gift card, express leasing, personal investment loans, and as much as $132mln borrowed from IFC, FMO, DEG, EBRD, EDB and ADB for projects to support SME and energy sector.
According to ArmInfo's Ranking of Commercial Banks of Armenia, Jan 1 2012 Ameriabank's capital totaled 35.1bln AMD (2nd place), authorized capital 25.5bln AMD (2nd place), assets 201.4bln AMD (2nd place), loans 142bln AMD (2nd place), liabilities 166.3bln AMD (2nd place). 70% of the bank's assets are loans. Most of the loans are given to industry and trade, 14% to SME. In 2011 the bank's profit grew by 37% to 4.4bln AMD (4th place).
