ARARATBANK intends to increase number of its active cards by 25-30% in 2013
ArmInfo. ARARATBANK is going to increase the number of its active cards by 25-30% in 2013, Ashot Osipyan, CEO and Chairman of Board of ARARATBANK, has told ArmInfo.
He says that both the local ArCa cards and international Visa cards and MasterCards are expected to grow in number. Having started to issue Diners Club cards in late 2013, the Bank intends to increase their number to 5,000 within a year.
Osipyan added that in 2014 transactions with ARARATBANK's cards are expected to increase by 32-34%. "The Bank will continue developing and introducing new financial instruments and card products, offering innovative bank products to its customers and ensuring the growth of its key indices", Osipyan stressed.
ARARATBANK is one of the dynamically developing banks of Armenia. As of 1 Oct 2013, its total capital amounted to $46.3 mln, assets - $259.8 mln, and net profit - $5.9 mln. The Bank has 45 branches.
According to the Analytical Review "Armenian Banks in Card Business" by the Agency of Rating Marketing Information (ArmInfo), ARARATBANK is among the top five banks issuing and serving both local ArCa and international Visa and MasterCards. As of 1 Oct 2013, the number of the Bank's active cards (ArCa, Visa, MasterCard) exceeded 109,000. The Bank has 75 ATMs and 437 POS terminals. In Jan- Sept 2013 the volume of transactions with the Bank's plastic cards exceeded 53 bln AMD (almost 70% growth versus Jan-Sept 2011).
