Bank was founded in 1995 in the frames of Europian “TACIS” program. The model of French Credit Agricole Bank was chosen as a banking model for the bank. The consulting and technical support of the Credit Agricole Bank turned into partnership, which lead to the establishment of "ACBA LEASING" CJSC, the first lease company in Armenia. In 2006 the French Credit Agricole Group became the principal shareholder of ACBA bank.
