In Jan-Sept 2014 retail insurance dropped by 29.5% while corporate insurance grew by 20%
ArmInfo. In Jan-Sept 2014 the share of retail insurance in the premiums of Armenia's insurance companies made up 61% or 13.9bln AMD, while that of corporate insurance made up 39% or 8.9bln AMD.
According to ArmInfo's Ranking of Insurance Companies of Armenia, in Jan-Sept 2014 retail insurance dropped by 29.5%, while corporate insurance grew by 20%.
Retail insurance prevails in the premiums of all of the companies but is especially prevalent in the premiums of Armenia Insurance (79.4%), RESO (76.5%) and Sil Insurance (75.1%).
The share of retail insurance in the companies' compensation made up 51.8% or 9.3bln AMD, while that of corporate insurance made up 48.2% or 8.7bln AMD.
In the reinsurance premiums the share of corporate insurance made up 91.2% or 2.7bln AMD (49% more than a year before), while the share of retail insurance made up 8.8% or 234.3.mln AMD (10% less).
