ArmInfo. In Q3 2015, Armenia's gross international reserves grew only by 5.2% reaching 1.625 bln USD as of October 1. The Central Bank of Armenia has told ArmInfo that as compared to Q3 2014 this index dropped by 2.3%.
According to the source, the foreign assets in the international reserves grew by 3.2% to $1.022 bln in Q3 2015 (down 5.4% versus Q3 2014).
The share of SDR in the IMF dropped by 58.9% in Q3 and amounted to 409.1thsd USD (291.2 thsd SDR), with a 22.8% year-over-year growth. To recall, in 2014 Armenia's international reserves declined by 34% to $1.489 bln, with the foreign exchange assets totaling $1.483 bln. The share of SDR in the IMF grew more than 3-fold to $6.2 mln in 2014.
In 2009 international reserves of Armenia grew by 43% to 2.004 bln USD, dropping in 2010 by 7% to 1.866 bln USD. In 2011 the reserves grew by 3.6% to 1.933 bln USD, then they dropped again by 7% in 2012 to 1.799 bln USD. However, in 2013 due to September serious injections the growth was ensured by 25% reaching 2.252 bln USD. In 2009 the share of SDR in the IMF grew by 42.4% to 124.7 mln USD (in September alone 140.6 mln USD), dropping in 2010 by 73.1% to 33.5 mln USD, but in 2011 again grew by 70.1% to 57 mln USD, then again dropped by 44.4% to 31.7 mln USD in 2012, the declining dynamics continued in 2013 when the index was at the level of 1.9 mln USD.
To note, the share of bank gold in Armenia's gross international reserves was zeroed in Dec 2003.
