ArmInfo. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan attended the opening of the Meghri Health Center. The merger of the Meghri medical center and Agarak hospital into the regional Meghri Health Center took place by the decision taken by the Armenian Government in 2006. The merger has not resulted in personnel cuts. The new health center has been built under the loan programs of the World Bank.
The total investment in the health center amounted to 1.62 bln AMD. The center has a department of infectious diseases, children's department, surgical department, obstetric-gynecologic department, etc. The center is equipped with up-to-date medical facilities. The project also included construction of a boiler- house, an electric power station, as well as solar batteries.
To note, the new building of the Kapan Tax Office was also opened on Feb 6. It serves a total of 4,318 taxpayers in Kapan, Kajaran, Agarak, Meghri, as well as 46 rural communities.
Earlier, 15 buildings of territorial tax offices were overhauled. In 2016, the buildings of the tax offices of Echmiadzin and Ijevan will also be renovated.
