ArmInfo. Nominal salary in Armenia totaled 181,667 drams ($372) in Jan-Mar 2016 with a 3.5% year-on-year (y-o-y) growth and 2.6% growth for Mar alone. In Mar 2016 as compared to Mar 2015, nominal salary grew 3.4%. For comparison, in Jan-Mar 2015 nominal salary grew 10.3% y-o-y (1.6% for Mar alone), and in Jan-Mar 2014 - 6.6% y-o-y (1.1% for Mar alone).
According to preliminary data of the National Statistical Service of Armenia, the salary at state-funded organizations was up 1.3% y-o-y for Jan-Mar 2016 to 158.037 drams ($323). At private organizations, this indicator increased 5.4% to 214,786 drams ($440). For Mar alone, the salaries increased 0.6% and 4.6%, respectively. As compared to Mar 2015, these indicators increased 2% and 4.5%, respectively. In Jan-Mar 2015, salaries at the state-funded and private organizations increased 13.4% and 6.7%, respectively. In Mar 2015, these indicators increased 1% and 2.2%, respectively.
In Mar 2016, the average AMD/USD exchange rate was 486.33 AMD/1USD, in Jan-Mar 2016 - 488.67 AMD/1USD (versus 477.61 AMD/1USD in Mar 2015 and 477.26 AMD/1USD in Jan-Mar 2015). In Mar 2014 it totaled 414.22 AMD/1USD and in Jan-Mar 2014 - 411.04 AMD/1USD.
