ArmInfo. Aleksandr Avanesov. Armenia's President Serzh Sargsyan received today International Monetary Fund (IMF) Executive Director for Armenia Menno Snel, the press-service of the Armenian president informs.
Serzh Sargsyan expressed gratitude to Menno Snel for adequate presentation of Armenia's interests for the recent five years. Taking into consideration that Menno Snel will soon terminate his mission on the position, Armenian President wished him success in his future work, expressing hope that the next executive director of IMF for Armenia will establish the same efficient and constructive cooperation. Serzh Sargsyan highly appreciated IMF's role in development of Armenia's economy noting that due to long- term cooperation with such a reputable international financial organization a number of important reforms have been conducted in the country for the recent several years. Despite numerous challenges caused by negative international factors certain progress was reached due to joint efforts. Armenia is interested in continuing cooperation with IMF, the president stressed.
Menno Snel stated with satisfaction about the partner relations of the fund with Armenia and implemented joint projects. He noted that there is a solid foundation for further development of cooperation.
