ArmInfo. Armenia doubles cheese supply to the Russian market to 1,000 tons, Kommersant reports.
According to the source, the growth in the share of foreign cheese in the Russian stores was resumed for the first time after the food embargo in 2014. The source says that in Q1 2016 the import of cheese to Russia totaled 49.3 thsd tons, i.e. 31% more than in Q1 2015. The import of products from Belarus grew by 41% to 41.8 thsd tons, Serbia - by 87% to 2.1 thsd tons, and the products from Armenia doubled to 1,000 tons. Armenia and Serbia supply mostly fresh cheese to Russia.
