ArmInfo. K-Telecom (VivaCell-MTS brand) tops the list of the largest taxpayers among the communications service providers of Armenia. In Jan-Sept 2016, the company paid 10.7 bln AMD in taxes, including 6.6 bln AMD in direct taxes (profit tax, income tax inclusive), and 4.1 bln AMD in indirect taxes (VAT, excise tax inclusive). K-Telecom is on the 7th position on the list of the top 1000 taxpayers of Armenia (4th position a year before).
The State Revenue Committee of Armenia reports that in Jan-Sept 2016 five communications service providers paid a total of 24.2 bln AMD in taxes, including 12.8 bln AMD in direct taxes and 11.4 bln AMD in indirect taxes.
Armenia Telephone Company (Beeline trademark) paid 9.1 bln AMD, including 4.3 bln AMD in direct taxes and 4.8 bln AMD in indirect taxes. The company was the 10th on the list of the top 1000 taxpayers (7th position a year before).
Ucom paid 3.1 bln AMD, including 1.4 bln AMD in direct taxes and 1.7 bln AMD in indirect taxes. The company was the 25th on the list of the top 1000 taxpayers (75th position a year before).
Orange Armenia (which has merged with UCom) paid 782.4 mln AMD in taxes, including 210.7 mln AMD in direct taxes and 571.7 mln AMD in indirect taxes. The company was the 119th among the top 1000 taxpayers (34th position a year before).
GNC-Alfa (Rostelecom trademark) paid 476.2 mln AMD, including 385.6 mln AMD in direct taxes and 90.6 mln AMD in indirect taxes. The company was the 191st among the top 1000 taxpayers (217th position a year before).
To note, in Jan-Sept 2015, the five providers paid a total of 29.8 bln AMD in taxes, with the share of K- Telecom (VivaCell-MTS) being 13.7 bln AMD. (On 30 Sept 2016, the AMD/USD exchange rate was 474.46 AMD/$1).
