ArmInfo. 3.2% GDP growth in 2017 is quite a serious and risky forecast in current conditions, Minister of Economic Development and Investments of Armenia Suren Karayan told journalists in parliament today.
At the same time the Minister noted that only in case the programs and events planned by the government are implemented one can speak about higher rates of economic development. At the same time the Minister refrained from mentioning the highest possible economic growth rate in case successful implementation of the programs.
According to the state budget draft for 2017 GDP growth will total 3.2%. The 2016 budget envisaged 2.2% growth. According to the revised forecast of the World Bank economic growth of the country will total 3.1% in 2016 and 3.3% in 2017. IMF forecasts 3.2% economic growth in 2016 and 3.4% in 2017.
