ArmInfo. Public Services Regulations Commission of Armenia at December 21 session extended the term of validity of Gazprom Armenia gas supplies license
According to Seda Shahinyan, the Head of legal and licenses department of PSRC, the license will be valid until January 1, 2019, and the matter concerns exclusively Russian gas supplies. What is to Iranian gas, this process is regulated by other legal documents.
To remind, Armenian Government at its December 1 session approved the Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement between the Government of Armenia and Government of Russian Federation on the procedures of price generation in respect to natural gas supplies from Russian Federation to the Republic of Armenia. According to the document, starting from January 1, 2017, the Russian natural gas supplies will be implemented at the price of USD 150 for 1 cubic meter. Cureently Russian is the main gas supplier for Armenia. According to the indicative balance, Russia implements natural gas supplies within up to 2- 2,5 bln cubic meters volumes annually.
Gazprom Armenia CJSC is a 100% subsidiary of the Russian Gazprom and the supplier of natural gas to the domestic market of Armenia. The Gas Transportation system maintains 1685 km of main gas pipes and 14 600 km of high, medium and low pressure gas channels and supporting units.
