ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan visited Grand Candy Company. The press office of the Armenian Government reports that Karapetyan toured the premises, familiarizing himself with the technology and production conditions.
The Prime Minister was informed about Grand Candy's main performance indicators and future plans. The proceeds of sales stood at AMD 23 billion in 2016. Exports rose to 1430 tons of confectionary due to a USD 9 million-worth investment last year. The company employs 3 thousand workers, with an ever growing number of seasonal jobs. The average monthly salary is AMD 160 thousand.
The company uses state-of-the-art technology and equipment. There is a modern quality control system installed at the factory. Karen Karapetyan was told that Grand Candy is expected to have a 100 percent growth in exports this year and, therefore, is set to found a new company with a view to operating at the supranational level.
The Premier stressed the importance of continued development of such large enterprises, consistent growth in production and exports and wished the company every success in the pursuit of their development projects.
Grand Candy LLC was founded in early 2000. It is the largest confectionary producer in Armenia and the only enterprise in the Transcaucasia that processes cacao beans.
