The issues of cooperation between the tax authorities of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) and the interaction of the Federal Tax Service of Russia with the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) were discussed on March 23 at the meeting of Tigran Davtyan, the Director of the Financial Policy Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) and the Deputy Head of the Federal Tax Service (FTS) of Russia Alexey Overchuk.
Tigran Davtyan informed that the specialists of the Commission are planning to hold a seminar on taxation of electronic commerce (e-commerce) on April 14, where the review of national legislation and world practice in the field of regulation of the taxation of electronic trade in goods and services will be presented. By the end of the event, proposals will be developed to improve the exchange of information in order to improve the efficiency of tax administration in relation to electronic commerce.
Speaking about priority tracks of cooperation with international organizations in the tax sphere, Tigran Davtyan said that the EEC is developing an active dialogue in the field of tax policy with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, the International Center for Taxes and Investments, the Inter- European Organization of Tax Administrations, the European Confederation of Tax Consultants.
In his turn, Alexey Overchuk expressed readiness for cooperation in the field of information exchange from the Russian tax authorities, and also expressed a high interest in the participation of representatives of the Federal Tax Service of Russia in integration activities.
