ArmInfo. Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan discussed the development program of the country with the Syrian Armenians living in Armenia.
"Our goal is a modern, logically developing country that will be understandable by its traditions and national dignity to the international community", the head of government said. He also noted that the greatest potential and capital of Armenia is a person, and this should be the basis of programs for the development of the country. "The goal of my call to the Diaspora is that the experience and potential that successful Armenians have abroad, was given to us, as it is very important in a rapidly developing world", the head of government stressed.
During the meeting, Karapetyan also discussed with the Syrian Armenians the development of small and medium business in the country, as well as the improvement of the economic situation. In this context, he noted the importance of active involvement of Diaspora Armenians. In particular, the prime minister noted that after the arrival of Syrian Armenians, the quality of services in the country has improved noticeably. "Moreover, a new culture of labor and diligence has been formed", the politician noted.
To note, on February 27 Karen Karapetyan made an appeal to the Armenian Diaspora to take part in the construction of the future of the Motherland. He also invited managers from the Diaspora, compatriots - eminent representatives of culture, science and education, to become a part of the ongoing reforms in Armenia, first of all, in order to introduce a new management culture into the country and use the potential of the best specialists for the benefit of pan-Armenian goals.
