ArmInfo.Karen Karapetyan, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, at the Government session held on April , called to increase the efficiency rate of hail protection stations.
In this respect, Karen Karapetyan instructed heads of MES and Ministry of Agriculture of Armenia to submit in two-week term the appropriate proposals in respect to improvement of hail protection arrangements, and to discuss possible optional solutions , including implementation of newest technologies. " In the case of proper management the risks in this sector could be reduced," Karapetyan said.
As of late October 2016, according to Armenian MES, there are 496 hail protection stations operated in Armenia, but there are 5000 stations needed to protect the farms.
