ArmInfo. To achieve a 5% economic growth, efforts must be made. The RA Minister of Finance Vardan Aramyan expressed this opinion in the RA parliament on June 21, commenting on the program of the Armenian government for 2017-2022. This is stated in the official message of the department.

In this connection, he stressed: "Assessing the results of activities in the context of implementing the program, according to different development models, the growth potential of the Armenian economy by today's estimates is about 3-4%."

In particular, Aramyan noted that when drawing up the new government program, global trends, the potential of the Armenian economy and numerous macroeconomic indicators were taken into account.

To remind, the new program of the Armenian government for 2017-2022. Provides for a consistent increase in the potential for economic growth and ensuring macroeconomic stability.

To note, in the state budget of Armenia for 2017 the GDP growth is 3.2%. According to the updated forecast of the Central Bank of Armenia, the GDP growth in Armenia in 2017 will be 3.2-4.4%. According to the World Bank's forecast, GDP growth in Armenia in 2017 will be 2.7%, according to the IMF forecast of 2.9%, according to Fitch forecast - 2.1%, EDB - 2.9%, Asian Development Bank - 2.2% UN - 2.5%.
