ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Lithuania to Armenia Erikas Petrikas.
Karen Karapetyan noted that there are strong friendly ties between the two countries, and Armenia intends to deepen these relations in areas of mutual interest.
The Armenian Prime Minister and Lithuanian Ambassador discussed issues related to the further development of economic cooperation between the countries. Both sides came to the conclusion that there is a great untapped potential, and practical steps should be taken to implement it. In the context of intensifying trade and economic ties, the prime minister noted the active work of the Armenian-Lithuanian intergovernmental commission, the second meeting of which is planned this fall in Yerevan. The interlocutors touched upon the organization of joint business forums, programs of bilateral and multilateral cooperation. Karen Karapetyan and Erikas Petrikas also exchanged views on Armenia-EU relations within the Armenia-Lithuania cooperation.
