ArmInfo. Armenia is reviewing the maximum bar for determining licensing payments by small and medium-sized businesses in the sphere of public catering. The Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetian announced the corresponding instruction on July 13 at a meeting of the Government of the country.
The head of government recalled that, according to the Tax Code adopted in 2016, new criteria for licensing payments from public catering facilities were established. In particular, according to the current legislation, license payments in respect of public catering facilities are established with a maximum area of the service hall of 100 square meters, instead of the previous 600 sq.m. This innovation, as the prime minister pointed out, aroused the concern of SME representatives.
In this context, considering the policy of Government aim at SMEs support, Prime Minister instructed the responsible structures to modify and present offers on review to the Government in a month for the maximum bar to the area of hall of public catering and the license payments from SMEs.
