AMD continues to slowly weaken against USD, rebuilding to EUR from strengthening to devaluation

ArmInfo. The currency interbank of Armenia reduced the volume by 46.2% from 21 to 25 August, after a decline of 1.6 times a week earlier. At the same time, in the domestic forex market, the activation of the dollar was accompanied by a decline in interest in buying, against which the euro and ruble transactions demonstrated a downward trend in both purchases and sales.  The exchange currency market continues to be empty.

As a result, AMD against the USD continued to weaken slowly - from 478.5 to 479 AMD/USD1, having been rebalanced to the EUR from strengthening to devaluation - from 562 to 565 AMD/EUR1, while lagging to the RUR at 8.1 AMD/RUR1. A year earlier, on August 25, 2016, the exchange rate of the AMD to the USD was 475.3 AMD/USD1, to the EUR - 535.5 AMD/EUR1, and to the RUR - 7.3 AMD/RUR1, which, in comparison with current rates, indicates an annual devaluation of AMD to these currencies.
