ArmInfo. Armenian Finance Ministry according to the results of 2017, GDP growth is expected to exceed the target of 3.2% in the country's budget. This was stated by the head of the department Vardan Aramyan on September 25 at a press conference.
Minister reminded that in the context of August-August, and January-August, compared with the same period last year, and recorded growth in all areas, except for agriculture and construction. "August 2017 by August 2016, the agricultural sector recorded a 25% decline, which in many respects may be due to the base factor, since I was less active in January-July of last year than in January-August," the minister said.
At the same time, as Aramyan noted, prices for agricultural products have grown inadequately declining, only 11% in price have reacted to the prices of fruits. According to the head of the Ministry of Finance, the issue requires detailed study, but for today the only explanation for the fixed indicators of the sphere is the reasons caused by the same basic effect. "According to the estimates of the Ministry of Finance, this year we will close with a real economic growth of 4.3%," Vardan Aramyan said.
To note, Armenian GDP in the first half of 2017 reached 2.177 trillion AMD. According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, in annual terms (I half-year 2017 to the same period in 2016), GDP grew by 7.1%, against growth of 2.5% a year earlier. The share breakdown of semi-annual GDP is as follows: about 52% - trade, almost 35% - industrial sector, about 30% - services, over 11% - agricultural sector and more than 5% - construction sector.
