The Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources of Armenia Ashot Manukyan received a delegation headed by the general director for the business development of international projects of the Indian contractor company Calpataru for the construction of the Hrazdan-Shinuair air power transmission line, financed by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
As the press service of the Energy Ministry told ArmInfo, representatives of the World Bank also took part in the meeting. During the meeting, a wide range of issues related to the construction of the power transmission line was discussed.
The representative of the contractor company presented the progress of the work to the Minister. The participants of the meeting touched upon the technical and financial problems that arose during the implementation of the program. The parties came to a common agreement on all the issues discussed.
About 230 km of the transmission line "Noraduz-Lichk-Vardenis-Vaik-Vorotan-1", implemented with the financing of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, connects two power generating substations - the Hrazdan Thermal Power Plant and the Vorotan Hydroelectric Power Plant. The goal of the program is to improve the reliability of the energy complex, increase power and minimize power losses. The program is coming to an end.
