ArmInfo. The currency interbank of Armenia sharply reduced the volume 2 times, from 9 to 13 October, after almost the same decline by 1.7 times a week earlier. At the same time, the inactivity of dollar transactions remained intact on the intra-bank foreign exchange market, and the interest in euro transactions, accompanied by a recession in the ruble buying with a meager increase in sales, also dropped. The exchange currency market continues to be empty.
As a result, the AMD against the USD continued to weaken slowly - from 478.5 to 480.8 AMD/USD1, having rebounded on this wave and against the EUR - from 561 to 570 AMD/EUR1, while holding the position to the RUR at 8.3 AMD/RUR1. A year earlier, on October 13, 2016, the exchange rate of the AMD to the USD was 477 AMD/USD1, to the euro - 526 AMD/EUR1, and to the RUR - 7.6 AMD/RUR1, which, in comparison with current rates, indicates the annual devaluation of the AMD to these currencies.
