ArmInfo. For 9 months of 2017, 2,520,746 tourists visited Armenia, which is more than the indicator of the annual statute of limitations by 21.4%. RA Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan announced this at the November 2 press conference.
At the same time, he stressed that the indicators on domestic tourism have also increased. In particular, in January-September the number of visits within the framework of domestic tourism increased by 21% to 1,172,402 Armenian tourists.
According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, in January-December 2016, 1,259,657 tourists arrived to the republic with an annual growth of 5.7%. Within the framework of domestic tourism on the territory of the Republic, the number of tourists-citizens of Armenia was 979 968 people, which is 12.4% more than the indicator of 2015.
