ArmInfo. Nominal wages in Armenia accelerated the rate of growth - from 2% in Jan-Nov 2016 to 2.6% in January-November 2017, amounting to 189631 AMD ($ 393). Only in November, nominal wages fell by 0.3%, against the 0.1% decline in November 2016. In November 2017, by November 2016, nominal wage growth accelerated to 3.8% from 0.7% in November 2016 by November 2015.
According to the preliminary data of Armenian National Statistic Service, wages in the public sector in January-November 2017 amounted to 159270 AMD ($ 330), unchanged over the year, against the deterioration of the dynamics a year ago - from 9.7% growth to 1.2% decline. At the same time, the growth rates of salaries in the private sector continue to slow down to 3.6% from last year's 4.4%, to 225966 AMD ($ 468). Only in November public sector wages fell by 0.6%, and in the private sector - by 0.1%, while a year earlier in the public sector there was a growth in wages by 0.1% with a decline in salaries in the private sector by 0, 2%. On an annual basis (November 2017 by November 2016), salaries in the public sector increased by 1.1%, and in the private sector by 4.9%.
The average calculated exchange rate of the dram was 485.36 AMD / $ in November 2017, and 482.67 AMD / $ 1 in Jan-Nov, compared to 478.52 AMD / $ 1 in November 2016 and 480.27 AMD / $ 1 in Jan - Nov, 480.15 AMD / $ 1 - in November 2015 and 477.46 AMD / $ 1 - in Jan-Nov 2015.
