Armenian trade sector is rapidly forcing up

ArmInfo. In the trade sector of Armenia, the turnover in January-November 2017 by the same period of 2016 increased by 14.4% against the growth of 0.3% a year earlier, to 2.3 trillion. drams ($ 4.7 billion). According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, only in November 2017 the trade turnover in Armenia increased by 0.7% to 242 billion drams ($ 498.7 million).

The acceleration of growth was due to the improvement in the dynamics of retail trade turnover, the acceleration of the annual growth in wholesale trade turnover, and the preservation of the upward trend in trade in cars. In particular, wholesale trade in January-November 2017 showed an annual growth of 25.3% - up to 1 trillion. AMD ($ 2.1 billion), against growth of 3.1% a year earlier. The volume of purchase / sale of cars in January-November 2017 slowed the growth rate from 20.3% to 17%, amounting to 99 billion drams ($ 205.1 million). In the same month, wholesale trade turnover increased by 0.1% to 110.4 bln drams, while retail sales decreased by 2% to 117.1 bln drams. The revenue of automobile trade increased in November by 34.5% - to 14.6 billion drams.

According to statistical data, the retail trade turnover in January-November 2017 amounted to 1.1 trillion.  drams ($ 2.4bn), an increase of 6.1%, compared with a 2.9% decline a year earlier. In the structure of retail trade, the largest turnover is provided by stores (including supermarkets) - 79.3% or 914.6 billion drams (annual growth of 8.7%), other retail facilities -.. 12.1% or 139.6 billion drams (annual growth of 2.8%), followed by a closely followed by the markets of consumer goods - 5% or 57.6 billion (with annual decline of 14.3%), stalls and kiosks -. 2.1% or 24.4 billion (with annual decline of 4.7%), and agricultural markets -. 1.5% or 17.5 billion (. with annual growth of 5%).

Retail trade dominates in the structure of Armenia's total trade turnover - 50.8%, followed by wholesale - 44.9%, and buying / selling cars - 4.3%.

The average settlement rate of dram against US dollar was in November 2017 485.36 etc. ./$ 1, and in January-November - 482.67 etc. ./$ 1, 478.52 against other ./$ 1c November 2016 and 480.27 other / $ 1 in January-November 2015.
