ArmInfo. In 2019, with the assistance of the EU, a program will be launched in Armenia regulating the process of milk procurement, which provides for the creation of an average link of processors. This was during the meeting with representatives of companies engaged in processing milk, said the Minister of Agriculture of Armenia, Ignat Arakelyan.
According to the press service of the ministry, the program is planned to assist processors in the establishment of harvesting stations, which in turn will have to support the villagers, in particular providing food, providing necessary counseling, etc.
However, during the meeting, the participants noted that Armenia has a sufficient number of procurement points. At the same time, entrepreneurs noted a number of other, more significant problems, in particular those related to increasing production and improving the quality of milk; creation of farms; effective use of pastures; proper care and feeding of animals, etc.
According to the source, Ignat Arakelyan also said that the RA Ministry of Agriculture intends to expand the range of products provided within the framework of the state program on leasing of agricultural machinery, inviting the processors to submit to the department a list of equipment and machinery necessary for production.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture Robert Makaryan, Chairman of the Union of Dairy Producers Khachatur Pogosyan, Chairman of the Union of Cheese Producers "Lori" Armen Grigoryan also participated in the meeting.
