AMD to USD set for strengthening, becoming weaker to EUR

ArmInfo. The currency interbank of Armenia increased by 2 times from February 12 to 16, compared with the previous week, after a decline of 13.1% a week earlier. 

Moreover, within a week, deals are made daily, with maximum volumes on Monday and Tuesday with a smooth "fading" by the end of the week. In parallel with this, in the intra-bank foreign exchange market, the players lost interest in buying up dollars, keeping passivity to the euro operations, while activating the purchase of rubles. The exchange currency market continues to empty, having been silent for almost the entire year 2017.

As a result, the AMD strengthened to USD - from 483.5 to 481.5 AMD/USD1, becoming weaker to the euro - from 593 to 604 AMD/EUR1 and to the ruble - from 8.4 to 8.6 AMD/RUR1, a year earlier, on February 16, 2017 the exchange rate of the dram to the dollar was 486.5 / $ 1, to the euro - 517 / 1evro, and to the ruble - 8.5 / ruble, which in comparison with the current rates for the annual devaluation dram to the euro and the ruble at revaluation to the dollar.
