ArmInfo. The Government of  Armenia approved the Natural Resources Management Strategy at a  cabinet meeting on February 22.

As the Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources Ashot  Manukyan stated, presenting the document, for the first time in  Armenia, a requirement is established to ensure mandatory processing  of waste generated as a result of subsoil use. "We are talking about  tailing dumps, of which there are 22 in the country, and the issue of  their further management is already on the agenda," the minister  said.

The solutions proposed within the framework of the strategy will make  it possible to implement reforms aimed at sustainable management of  natural resources.
