ArmInfo. The slogan of the international day of consumer protection, celebrated in 2018, "Making the digital market more honest" fully corresponds to the digital agenda being formed in Armenia. This was announced by Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan on March 15 at a forum dedicated to the international day of consumer protection organized by the State Food Safety Service.
"I think that digitalization of all spheres is the most urgent issue in the issue of modern management." Each republican executive body should attach importance to the implementation of digital mechanisms, taking into account their several advantages. "In the field of food safety, digital solutions must also be proposed. carried out by the State Food Safety Service activities, such as, for example, the transition to mandatory slaughtering in slaughterhouses, the implementation of models of risk assessment, "the head of the Armenian government said. He added that the purpose of implementing these measures is to strengthen the responsibility of the state, public and private sectors in the matter of ensuring food safety.
According to Karen Karapetyan, it is impossible without mutual cooperation to raise problematic issues, and sometimes even to criticize. "The effectiveness of consumer protection, first of all, lies in its awareness and knowledge of its own rights, and in this context, a large role is given to public organizations and the media." From this point of view, the activities carried out within the framework of consumer protection weeks will be aimed at achieving precisely these goals, "the RA Prime Minister said.
The head of the EU delegation to Armenia Petr Svitalski, RA Minister of Agriculture Ignaty Arakelyan, the head of the State Food Safety Service Ishkhan Karapetyan and other officials also took part in the forum.
