This was stated by the state minister of the Republic of Artsakh Arayik Harutyunyan on March 17 during a meeting with representatives of the Armenian community of Melbourne (Australia).
According to the press service of the Artsakh Government, Harutyunyan referred to the achievements in social economic sphere. He talked about programs to overcome the consequences of the April war, large- scale projects in the direction of increasing the fighting capacity of the country.
"The meetings of the delegation, headed by the state minister of Aratsakh, continue in Australia," the ministry said. The National Statistical Service of the NKR informs that Artsakh in 2017 recorded a record GDP growth of 15.6% the GDP deflator index is 2.5%, instead of 9.2% and 0.5% respectively in 2016. The gross domestic product (GDP) in the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic) was about 272 billion 100 million AMD (229 billion 700 million AMD - in 2016). In 2017, per capita GDP, at current prices, amounted to 1 million 855 thousand 900 AMD - against 1 million 577.3 thousand AMD in 2016. As indicated, in the additional GDP growth of 15.6%, 11.7% was provided by industry, including energy, 3.7% fell on trade and services, 0.9% - agriculture, forestry and fisheries, and 0.1% building.
