In particular, the head of government visited a farm in the community of Pshatavan, which is engaged in breeding ostriches. The premier was informed that as a result of investments made in the farm since 2008, the number of ostriches reached about 500. Since late last year, production of basturma, sujukh and kaurma has been launched. Currently, all products are sold in the Armenian market, but steps are planned to organize exports. Karen Karapetyan welcomed the development of ostrich farming in Armenia and offered to cooperate with the Business Armenia Foundation (ex-Development Fund of Armenia) to stimulate exports. The head of government also visited the Artamet community, where Iranian investors of Armenian origin are implementing a large program to create pistachio gardens. The head of the Cabinet was informed that according to the investment program worth $ 10 million in Armavir region, a pistachio garden with an area of 590 hectares will be broken according to the system of drip irrigation, and work on the processing of seedlings has already started. The whole harvest is planned to be exported to various markets. The prime minister noted the readiness of the government, within the framework of the existing instruments, to assist in the implementation of the investment program and in the organization of exports. The head of the government visited the wine production company Voskeni wines in the Sardarapat community, got acquainted with its activities and programs. The production is realized using modern equipment imported from Germany. It was reported that the company plans to expand its own vineyards with a drip irrigation system. Currently, the company's products are sold in Armenia, Russia and the Netherlands. Appropriate steps are being taken to enter new European markets.
