ArmInfo. The Chinese intend to invest in the production of mineral waters in Armenia. Representatives of the Chinese company New Idea announced during a meeting with the Minister of Economic Development and Investments of Armenia Suren Karayan. As the press service of the ministry reports, investors stressed that Armenian mineral waters are of high quality, which inspires confidence in the successful outcome. According to investors, the program will have a social focus and support the development of adjacent communities.
S. Karayan noted that the team of the Ministry is ready to assist throughout the process and discuss the possibilities of granting benefits in the framework of the program.
According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, the trade turnover between Armenia and China in 2017 increased by 33.3% to $ 604.5 million. The export amounted to $ 123.7 million with an increase of 28.4% per annum, with import growth of 34.6% to $ 480.7 million.
