VTB Bank (Armenia) provides customers with opportunity to independently set PIN-codes of cards

ArmInfo. VTB Bank (Armenia)  provides customers with the opportunity to independently set PIN  codes of their cards. As the press service of the Bank explained to  ArmInfo, PIN codes of plastic cards issued by VTB Bank (Armenia) are  provided to customers via SMS messages instead of paper carriers.

According to the source, when receiving a new card SMS-message,  temporary PIN-codes are sent to the cardholders, which customers must  independently change via ATMs of VTB Bank (Armenia) and set the  PIN-code at their own discretion. Thanks to the new service, the  Bank's customers can establish a combination of numbers that they can  easily remember, changing it at any time at any later time, and if  there are several cards, set a single PIN-code on their cards. Based  on the security requirements, the PIN- code set by the customer is  not stored in the Processing Center of the Bank and is available  exclusively to the client. The service of self-installation of the  PIN code applies to all VTB Bank (Armenia) cards, except for Instant  Issue, Visa Infinite, pension and credit cards.

After receiving an SMS message with a temporary PIN code, the client  to activate the card and install a permanent PIN code performs the  following actions: inserts the card into any ATM of VTB Bank  (Armenia); introduces a temporary PIN-code, received SMS-message; in  the opened window enters a new four-digit PIN-code; re-enters a new  PIN and completes the operation.

For more information on changing the PIN code when activating the  card, you can find out at the branches of VTB Bank (Armenia) and the  Bank's Unified Contact Service at 87-87.
