AMD strengthened against USD in 1st quarter of 2018 by 0.6% against inflation of 2.5%

AMD strengthened against USD in 1st quarter of 2018 by 0.6% against  inflation of 2.5%

ArmInfo. The dram strengthened  against the dollar in March 2018 by March 2017 by 0.9% against the  background of the growth of consumer prices by 3.7%. According to the  National Statistical Service of Armenia, in March 2018 the average  calculated rate was 480.4 AMD/USD1, against 484.8 AMD/USD1 in March  2017 and 486.33 AMD/USD1- in March 2016.

In the first quarter of 2018, the appreciation of the dram against  the dollar by 0.6% was observed against the background of inflation  by 2.5%.

In March, 2018, the dram strengthened to the dollar by 0.2% with  inflation of 0.1%.

A year earlier, in March 2017, by March 2016, the dram was also  revalued against the dollar - by 0.3%, but then the consumer market  was deflation of 0.1%. In the first quarter of 2017, against a  background of inflation of 1.4%, AMD devalued against the dollar by  0.4%. Only in March 2017 the deflation of the demand by 0.3% was  accompanied by the revaluation of the dram to the dollar by 0.3%.

At the retail currency market of Armenia, drams against the dollar  strengthened by 480.5 AMD/USD1 on average on April 5, 2018, against  484.5 AMD/USD1 on December 29, 2017 and 484.5 AMD/USD1 on April 5,  2017.
