President: Any investment in Armenia is protected and safe

ArmInfo. Armenia has all the qualities in order to become an attractive tourist destination, including from the Persian Gulf countries. Such an opinion was expressed by the President of Armenia Serge Sargsyan in an exclusive interview with Gulf News - an English-language weekly published in the United Arab Emirates and distributed in the countries of Central Asia and the Persian Gulf, as well as to the agency Global FDI reports.

The President stated that Armenia is a country with a rich cultural and historical heritage. At the same time, the republic freed the tourist from the UAE from the obligation to issue an entry visa. "We have created all necessary infrastructures, and everything is available. At the same time, both Yerevan and the whole of Armenia are absolutely safe for the tourist," he stressed. Addressing potential investors, the head of the Armenian state stated that in Armenia, due to its small scale, there is a personal attitude to each investor.  The investor in Armenia, as indicated by Serzh Sargsyan, is granted tax benefits at the start of production of products previously not produced in the country. "Any investment in Armenia is protected and safe," the RA President concluded.

According to the State Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Armenia, the number of tourists visiting Armenia in 2017, as compared to 2016, increased by 18.7%. As before, last year Armenia received the most tourists from Russia.

Then followed by tourists from Iran, Western Europe, an interesting growth dynamics was outlined on the tourist flow from China, Japan, the citizens of the Philippines from the UAE.
