In Yerevan, in the street M.Saryan in the interval from the street Tumanyan, on May 11-12, the Yerevan Vine Days wine festival will be held on the occasion of the 2800th anniversary of Yerevan. The organizer of the wine festival is the company Eventtura. This was announced on May 5 during the press conference by the co-founder and director of the company Meri Badalyan.
According to her, over 200 kinds of the best Armenian and Artsakh wines and dishes of Armenian and international cuisine from more than 35 Yerevan restaurants will be presented during the event.
It is noteworthy that this year the organizers will provide an opportunity for visitors to purchase a wine tasting kit worth 4 thousand AMD. Answering the question of ArmInfo M. Badalyan noted that by purchasing the kit, the visitor will be able to taste about 25 kinds of wines and 2 wine cocktails. And the kit itself includes a wine glass with a special logo, a cover for a glass, a coupon-booklet, in which in two languages - Russian and English - information will be provided about all producers participating in the event. At the same time, each page of the manufacturer will be attached one tasting ticket with its logo. The cost of an extra coupon for tasting one glass of wine will be 400 drams. Within 2 days of the festival in Saryana Street there will be 6 sales points. She noted that last year the number of visitors was about 15- 20 thousand. However, this year even more visitors are expected, the overwhelming majority of which will be tourists from Russia, the USA, Australia, etc.
The head of the Areni Foundation Nune Manukyan noted that work on the preparation of the event took place within 8 months. In particular, she said, there is great interest from mass media and bloggers from Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, the United States, Israel, Canada, etc. However, to date, as N. Manukyan noted, in connection with recent events related to the people's movement, about 20% of representatives of international media canceled their visits.
