In the French Bordeaux, the Days of Armenian wine are held at the La Cite du Vin Museum

ArmInfo. In the French Bordeaux,  the Days of Armenian wine are held at the Museum of History and  Culture of La Cite du Vin.

According to the press service of the Viniculture and Wine Foundation  of Armenia (VWFA), this year the museum presents about 42 kinds of  Armenian wines. Before the start of the event VWFA Executive Director  Zaruhi Muradyan and expert Anahit Davtyan conducted a master class  for the museum staff, after which the history of Armenian wine,  winemaking traditions, peculiarities of local grapes and wine was  presented to the visitors. In addition, the event hosted meetings  with leading international wine experts.

"I am confident that this event will make a significant contribution  to the implementation of our core mission, namely, to increase the  recognition and demand of Armenian wines in the world," Z. Muradyan  said.

According to the source, the tickets were sold out a week before the  start of the event.

November 2017 the Armenian Viniculture and Winemaking Foundation  (VWFA) and the Museum of Wine History and Culture La Cite du Vin  signed a memorandum of cooperation that will allow to hold wine  exhibitions during 2018 in order to popularize it in European market.  450 000 visit the museum annually.

According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, in 2017  Armenia produced 8.8 million liters of wine, with annual growth of  30%.

According to the Customs Service of Armenia, in 2017 Armenia exported  2.8 million liters of wine, with an annual growth of 50.5%, with the  increase in customs value by 81% to $ 10.8 million.
