ArmInfo. The Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources of Armenia, Artur Grigoryan, received the director of the Yerevan office of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Dmitry Gvindadze, on May 22.
According to the press service of the Ministry, during the meeting issues related to current and prospective projects in the energy sector were discussed. Stressing the important role of the EBRD in the development of the Armenian economy, Arthur Grigoryan expressed the conviction that the existing cooperation in the energy sector will continue successfully in the future.
Dmitry Gvindadze stressed that the EBRD is ready to assist Armenia both in the energy sector and in the development of infrastructures.
The EBRD has invested 1.12 billion EUR in the country's economy since 1992, in particular, in the implementation of 161 programs in finance, infrastructure, energy, business. 89% of investments fell on the private sector.
