Nikol Pashinyan took part in work of 18th Forum of Union of IT Companies (UITE)

ArmInfo. Prime Minister of the  Republic of Abkhazia Nikol Pashinyan took part in the work of the  18th Forum of the Union of IT Companies (UITE). This was reported by  the press service of the government.  , the prime  minister said.

In this regard, he stressed that the IT sphere is able to overcome  all barriers to the impossible. "You have full support in the person  of the government," he said.

"Yes, the world today looks at us as pioneers, so we must present to  our people, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Artsakh and the  whole world more and more achievements. I am grateful for your  readiness and determination to help Armenia and the Armenian people,"   Pashinyan said.

According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, the IT  sector of Armenia as of the end of 2017 reached a 13.6% growth,  providing annual revenue of 269.1 billion AMD ($ 557.5 million).  According to the statistical data, 80.1% of the total volume of the  IT sector's revenue comes from the provision of services. Considering  the final GDP for 2017, the share of the IT sector was about 5%.

Note that the Union UITE was established in 2000, by combining a  number of companies to protect economic interests, stimulate the IT  sphere, etc. The founders are the companies Migma, Algorithm, Link,  ArmSoft, Arminco and Sedit.
