Armenian State Revenue Committee gives network supermarkets time to return to legal field

ArmInfo. Networking companies engaged in trade were warned that early agreements with the former government are no longer valid and they need to return to the legal field in a short time. The chairman of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia David Ananyan stated on May 29 in an interview with journalists.

According to Ananyan, the day before the meeting with 10-12 representatives of supermarket chains, including Nor Zovk, Yerevan City, SAS, took place. They were given 3-5 days to settle software problems with cash registers. "We explained to them the requirements of the law. Indirect taxes should not be taken into account when pricing, "he said.

As the head of the SRC pointed out, colleagues from the National Security Service were informed of early business arrangements with the authorities. As for agro products, where there are problems with documenting the goods, Ananyan specified, the agreement was that individual entrepreneurs carried out the sale of agricultural products in the supermarket. "In fact, a 5% turnover tax was paid, instead of the required 20% VAT," he explained.

On the eve of the media reported that the cashiers of supermarkets Yerevan City in turn are called for interrogation in the National Security Service. It was reported that supermarkets belonging to the family of the RPA deputy Samvel Aleksanyan, work with extraneous cash registers. That is, the trade is made not only through the SAS of the Alex-holding company, but also individual individual entrepreneurs, so as not to exceed the nontaxable VAT threshold.
