In spite of numerous difficulties and problems, a hundred years ago, Armenians and Georgians showed their will to freedom and the desire for democracy." Georgia and Armenia are linked by centuries- old friendly and good-neighborly relations , which led to today's partnership relations. With the collapse of the Soviet Union and the restoration of the independence of our countries, we were able to establish mutually beneficial relations based on mutual trust, "the Georgian Prime Minister said.
At the same time, he stressed that stability and democracy in Armenia are very important for Georgia. "We closely followed the latest developments in Armenia, the Armenian people showed the whole world that he is one and committed to democratic values, and I would like to congratulate Pashinyan on his election as the Prime Minister of Armenia," Kvirikashvili said, and in this context, on behalf of the Georgian government and personally on its own behalf, once again confirmed the readiness to continue further productive cooperation with Armenia.
Touching upon the agenda of the meeting, the Georgian Premier stated that all directions of the Armenian- Georgian cooperation had been discussed. According to him, the importance of political dialogue was underlined at the meeting, such directions of interaction as trade, economy, tourism were discussed. At the same time, Kvirikashvili stated the presence of untapped potential in interaction and said that with the purpose of deepening economic relations a commission on economic relations will be established.
