ArmInfo.Electricity production in Armenia in Jan-April 2018 amounted to 2,667.3 million kWh, with an annual decline of 0.4%, against the growth of 4.4% a year earlier. Only in April, a decline of 3.4% was registered to 557.6 million kWh.
According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, in Jan-April 2018, to the same period of 2017. TPPs increased electricity production by 2.4% to 983.4 million kWh, HPPs by 6.6% to 697.6 million kWh. The Armenian nuclear power plant produced electricity in the amount of 984.3 million kWh. with an annual decline of 7.4%. During the reporting period, 21.4 thousand gigajoules of thermal energy were produced, with an annual growth of 20.9%. Wind farms produced 0.8 million kWh of electricity during the reporting period with an annual decline of 20%. The volume of solar power plants was 1.2 million kWh of electricity.
The generation of electricity in Armenia in 2017 amounted to 7,762.9 million kWh, with an annual growth of 6.1%. In particular, TPPs increased electricity generation by 11.2%, HPPs reduced electricity generation by 3.5%, Armenian NPP increased generation by 10%.
