Minister of Agriculture and Ambassador of Belarus to Armenia  discussed cooperation prospects

ArmInfo. Minister of Agriculture Artur Khachatryan received the ambassador of Belarus to Armenia Igor Nazaruk on June 15.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture, during  the meeting the parties discussed issues of expanding cooperation in  the field of agriculture. Khachatryan presented to the ambassador the  main directions of the agricultural policy in the Republic of  Armenia. The Minister noted the importance of introducing modern  technologies in various industries, upgrading and updating the fleet  of agricultural machinery. Noting that besides traditional Belarusian  agricultural machinery, Armenian farmers may also be interested in  other modern equipment for various agricultural works, Ambassador  Igor Nazaruk expressed his readiness to help in their deliveries.

Nazaruk also proposed to expand the export of Armenian fruits and  vegetables to the Belarusian market, stressing that Armenian  agricultural products are very popular there.

The sides also discussed prospects for strengthening the  Armenian-Belarusian cooperation.
