German bank KFW urges Armenia to build power line in the direction to  Georgia

ArmInfo. Armenia is interested in the implementation of the construction program for the 400-kV electricity transmission line Armenia-Georgia. On this eve, during a meeting with the regional director of the German bank KFW for Central Asia and the South Caucasus Olaf Zimelka, the Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources of the Republic of Armenia Artur Grigoryan stated.

According to the press service of the ministry, Artur Grigoryan  stressed that the implementation of the project will allow Armenia to  expand regional cooperation, becoming a link between the electric  power systems of Iran, Georgia and Russia.

The Minister highly appreciated the cooperation with the Bank,  expressing confidence that the energy assistance it provides will be  consistent and effective.

In turn, Olaf Zimelka expressed his hope that the technical problems  that have arisen on the construction of the electricity transmission  line Armenia-Georgia will receive final permission, which will allow  the program to be translated into the implementation process.
