Large batch of fake brandy found in Yereven

ArmInfo. As a result of operative actions taken by the State Revenues Committee of Armenia in Yerevan a regular attempt to sell a bulk quantity of pirated brandy  was prevented.

As the press service of the Committee informs it was revealed that a  citizen of Yerevan Sergey Danielyan was engaged in bottling and  selling alcoholic beverages of unknown origin. In order to identify  the abuse, employees of the operational department of the Committee  "made" a preliminary order to Danielyan for the delivery of the  products. Later, during the organization of supply, a large batch of  falsified brandy was found bottled under the brand of a well-known  brandy factory. As a result of operational and investigative measures  aimed at revealing the source of the production of false brandy, a  large batch of counterfeit spirits, as well as raw materials and  products for their preparation, were found in the trading room at  Tigran Mets, 16a. It was also found out that, apart from private  entrepreneur Sergey Danielyan, private entrepreneurs Gohar and Sirun  Muradyans were also involved in the same type of activity. They  confessed and gave an explanation that they knew in advance about the  fake nature of the product.  Based on the results of the checks, the  relevant protocols were drawn up on the basis of the second part of  Article 57 of the Criminal Procedure Code. The investigation is  underway.
