Discussions began in Armenia on the draft medium-term expenditure  program for 2019-2021

ArmInfo. Under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, on June 27, the government hosted a meeting of the permanent High Council for the development of a medium-term expenditure program.

According to the press service of the Armenian government, at the  meeting the medium-term expenditures for 2019-2021 laid down in the  program were discussed macroeconomic indicators and the framework for  fiscal policy.

According to the RA Prime Minister, the development and development  of a medium-term expenditure program is a rather lengthy process. It  began in one political situation and ends in a completely different  one. In this context, Pashinyan said, it is important, on the one  hand, to assess today's objective reality, and on the other hand, to  record the existing political situation and the national, state and  popular aspirations emanating from it. "We hope that in this context,  today's discussions will be productive. We are limited in time, but  we should try to work out to the maximum possible speed in order to  get not only a real but also an optimistic document," the prime  minister said, that in Armenia the concepts of "real" and  "optimistic" are often perceived as antonyms. "Nevertheless, the main  task of the government is to turn these concepts into synonyms, in  this context, the medium-term expenditure program should become the  main tool for this task," the Armenian Prime Minister noted.
